“Just to let you know, that the expedition was the highlight of my summer.  I still have pleasant dreams at night reliving the adventure.”

“Last year I found an ilium and this year I found what we first thought was a skull, but now is a huge vertebra, so it's really awesome to find new things. I would recommend this experience to anyone and everyone, because it's amazing and you get such a fulfilling experience finding bones that have not been seen by any living creature in hundreds of millions of years. This is the best experience I've ever had in my life!”

“My 17 year old son, Sam, and I didn’t know what to expect on our summer expedition with Elevation Science Institute – but from the moment we were picked up, we knew it was going to be an adventure!

My son’s joy in digging out a vertebrae to find it laying on top of a fossilized tendon and several other bones was infectious. The staff always helped put times like these into perspective: what may have happened at the site, what it may mean for science, how it can be preserved and used.

Elevation Science Institute is the real deal and offers rewards that can last a lifetime. Sam’s passion for dinosaurs is now one I share in a new way. Elevation Science Institute gave us a new world of memories and experiences to build on.”

“The scenery was breathtaking. It was fun meeting other Dino lovers like me and the food was delicious! Where the emotional feelings really hit me was at the actual dig sites starting the very first day. Once I saw some of the actual dinosaur fossils that were in process of being excavated, I was so excited! Here I was looking at 165 million year old Dino fossils, me, standing in the Bighorn Basin where dinosaurs once roamed... I actually got teary eyed and I was smiling so hard my face hurt...Ha!”

“The Elevation Science Institute is just fantastic. I had my first experience with them (as an expedition participant) back in 2017, and I was already excited to return the next year. This is a crew of smart, experienced, down-to-earth paleontologists who really put a ton of thought and effort into giving volunteers like me a completely exciting and educational experience digging up dinosaur fossils, something I'd wanted to do as a kid but never dreamt I'd actually be able to participate in as an adult.”

“It's been several years now since I accompanied the Elevation Science Institute’s paleontologists to the dig in Wyoming, but I had the time of my life, even with an already rewarding life experience. Excitement from actually being in the field was matched only by the comradery among the people on the team.”
